Being interested person rather than being interesting.

Before starting the explanation, Let me tell you about the main concept behind the terms and activity. “Being interesting” means that you are talking about yourself, what you think, what are your interests. “Being interested” means that you are taking interest something outside yourself, you are passionate to know about others, What others are trying to say, what are their thoughts, what are their opinions etc. If you are being interested soon you will be able to present yourself as a implicit candidate in front of anyone.

To get a job we have to research about organization’s culture, norms, values, and working environment. If you research all the stuff then you will be able to present yourself as potential candidate because it shows that you are taking interest in their company instead of showing yourself.

I have read the chapter “ “Ways To Make People Like You,
Do This And You’ll Be Welcome Anywhere” from How to Win Friends and influence people written by Dale Carnegie.

After reading the book a huge learning came to my mind as: We live in a world where everyone is so busy in his own life. Actually we live in a world full of selfishness and loneliness. In present age every third person out of four complaints loneliness.

But we are the creature who can’t live alone. We need co-operative fellows even other than family, in the form of friends. But it’s not easy to find a sincere and loyal friend because a true friend is just like finding a pearl from hundreds of thousands of oysters. (i.e, very rarely a single oyster contains a pearl.

The trick to have and to make more friends is by becoming more and more “interested” in others than making yourself interesting. Because,

“ You are interesting if you are interested”

If one wants success as a friend or as a hero one should be interested in others. A hero is he who knows the nature of his followers.And only he can know one’s nature if he is interested in him.If you want to make friends you should out yourself out to do things for other people.

If you want to people take interest in you, start to take interest in them and they will automatically take interest in you.
