What inspired you at night?

On the 1st of August, quite by chance, my friend and I got to a wonderful multimedia festival, which is better to visit at twilight. After sunset on the pond, every day comes to life the magic forest, created by famous European artists.

I’m in love with the night and luminous installations. When I was a child, I liked to arrange improvised installations with stories in the garden or in the apartment, and that why this festival attracted me even more. The kilometer-long way- so much takes a walk through the “magic forest” — will make the spectators show how many forces, thoughts and ideas we draw from nature and how rarely we are alone with it.

Have you ever wondered: how often does inspiration come to you in the daytime? To me — never. With this feeling, I meet most often at night, when there is still silence and only the light of the lanterns or the morning dawn. I took myself out of the habit of walking in the park at night, located near my house and this walk through the forest reminds me about my daily summer walks. Did you feel unity with nature, some mystery in every shadow of a bush or a tree? This festival recreates images from your imagination. Whether it’s ghost girls dancing on the edge, or small forest demons. Or absolutely real dangers in the form of wolves and other night predators.

Nature inspires people to create myths and fairy tales passed from generation to generation, to scientific discoveries and, of course, to creativity.Since ancient times nature has been the main source of human inspiration. Its unique colors, the whiff of the wind, the singing of birds, rustles. If you listen, then our mind comes a lot of scenarios, what is there in the depths of the forest or what lies in the tall grass of the field. Spirits, fireflies, huge spiders, unusual sounds-all this created incredible compositions that left an unforgettable impression. We have become unaccustomed to being alone with the wild nature, so our imagination gives rise to mysterious and frightening images from silhouettes and sounds. After a while all the senses get used to, the imagination turns on in full force, and we begin to feel an amazing connection with the world around us.

This show takes us out of the clutches of a noisy city and dips headlong into the magic of the nightlife, gently embracing us like children and telling us fairy tales. This little magic trip filled me with new sensations. I am immensely grateful that organized such an exhibition because it’s so similar to those night worlds that I create at night, walking through the natural expanses. This festival taught us to listen to the night and free the mind to feed your imagination.
